The Dubai Mall, Fashion Avenue Expansion is a prestigious project by EMAAR, located in downtown Dubai, at the feet of the world’s tallest tower. The challenge was to carry out significant structural works to remodel the units and find additional selling area. ASZ Architetti was entrusted with a large portion of the development, covering around 7,000 sq mt for brands like Gucci, Prada, Bottega Veneta and Burberry. Pivoting between the base build developer and the Brands designers, we carried out design development, project management, site coordination, and MEP systems, overseeing the project for about two years to ensure timely completion.

The Gucci Hamburg Expansion is about to create a flagship store in a historical building. ASZ Architetti’s role includes feasibility studies, developed design, architect of record, project management, and site supervision. The project requires careful structural work to expand the retail space while maintaining the integrity of the existing architecture. The new expansion will feature a completely redesigned interior to reflect Gucci’s latest brand concept.

A complete transformation of an old barn on the hills of Florence, into a contemporary habitable space.
The entire structure was redesigned from the ground up to give it a unique loft style.
An open kitchen layout, with a dining area and a family room, are integrated to make entertaining the major purpose of the ground floor.
The new staircase becomes the most important element in this interior, connecting all floors and making different parts of the house accessible through its ingenious design.
What also makes it special is the fact that it is a high energetic performance house, being built with eco-friendly, natural and traditional materials.
All these components contributed to reach really high results in thermal performances of the building.
Last but not least, the biggest challenge was to build the two slabs hanged from the ceiling, lighter than the original structure, in order to match the anti-seismic regulations.

Tiffany & Co. Dubai Flagship is one of the most sophisticated works ASZ architetti has ever ventured in. At the very entrance of Dubai Mall, the work consisted in merging two commercial units, creating one of the largest Tiffany stores, also featuring Blu Cafe, a proper caffetteria within the jewellery – a totally new addition to the brand’s concept. Finding space for the kitchen by building a new mezzanine – in compliance with F&B regulations, was one of the challenges. The store has also a one-of-a-kind large Facade, designed by the archistars SANAA, which is composed by countless tiny chrystal cubes, magically waving in a parametric pattern.

Developed a new multi-story retail store on the fashionable street of Venice.
Structural work was carried out to optimize space utilization, including relocating the internal staircase and installing a new elevator.
The brand designed exclusive concept elements for this location, such as the unique paintings on the ground floor and a metal elevator.
